Ingloss Skies is located in a wonderful area full of artisan food suppliers, global award-winning wineries and craft breweries renowned far and wide.
Farmers markets, care farm outlets and organic farm shops are in abundance in the Norfolk/Suffolk area. There is a local artisan and producers market at the historic Bungay Butter Cross 10 minutes from Ingloss Skies. Whilst not always overt in their national presence, these artisan and passionate farmers nevertheless provide an amazing array of organic, local produce. Some providers do have reaches beyond the counties as their popularity increases; Baron Bigod Brie cheese, Winbirri wines.
The last decade has seen a giant leap forward in the UK for home-produced wine. Within 10 miles from Ingloss Skies is the winner of the “Decanter World Wine Award” for its 2015 Bacchus white wine; Winbirri. Even closer to Ingloss Skies are the wonderful, emerging vineyards of Chet and Flint. Slightly further afield, but within easy reach are Oak Hill, Valley Farm and Simon Cruickshanks.
Craft and more established breweries are in abundance. Most notable nationwide brewers are Adnams in Southwold, Woodfordes in Woodbastwick and Grain in Alburgh. Following close behind these more established brewers are many, many smaller craft brewers offering wonderful and insightful beers, with most brewers and wineries offering tours to see their operation and to sample their produce.

Should you have a particular passion for food and drink, the options are endless! We can organise tours of food producers, wineries, and breweries, to explore, understand and sample their products. We can also source local ingredients ahead of your stay at Ingloss Skies so that you can indulge your passion for fabulous food and drink, so that you can create wonderful dishes and experiences whilst watching the sun set at Ingloss Skies.
Should your passion for the best and most interesting food and drink not translate to the ability to turn these into a memorable dining experience; no problem! If arranged before your stay, Julian and Beverley will be able to offer a bespoke menu for your own private dining experience. Alternatively, if you wish to take a shared cooking experience, Julian can cook with you to help you maximise the fabulous produce and to share the food where enduring memories can be made.
Julian has explored his desire for wonderful food by catering for various private dining events; from small intimate experience to summer balls. His passion and experience can be a catalyst to challenging taste buds and conventions, but all with the aim of great ingredients, wonderfully cooked, for a memorable dining experience. All accompanied by local artisan produce.
